Description
About this piece
An ornate antique French cherry wood demilune-shaped wall panel with mounting brackets, previously used as a unique headboard.
Originating from early 19th century France, this semicircular wooden panel has a distinct air of French elegance with its pleasing, seemingly golden, hue and ornately carved floral and foliage details.
Likely once a grand architectural feature of an overdoor, this antique arched wooden panel could be used simply as a decorative piece on an interior wall. Alternatively, it could be used again as a headboard, suitable for use with a UK King or US Queen size bed.
Provenance: L’Encoignure, Thomas Kerr Antiques, Kings Road, London.
