Description
About this piece
An ornate 19th Century English cast iron gate, crafted with exceptional skill and attention to detail.
This unique example of early 19th century ironwork is intricately designed with a large amount of time and skill. Dating back to circa 1830, this gate would have been attached to a building of great importance or status, such as a church or manor.
The fine embellishments are accentuated by the stable rust finish, which contrasts against the mild verdigris of the bronze.
